Hi

I have a fiancé who is 4 months pregnant. The problem is that we do not have a medical aid and are in no financial way to afford gynae's fees or pay for the deliver at a private hospital. All I hear is horror stories from public hospitals.

Are there any alternate options available to us?

What ever happened to the Marymount? Is there anything similar?

Desperate!

I'm a bit confused, did you mean to post in the Adoption forum? A friend of mine recently gave birth at Paarl Hospital and had also gone there for all her antenatal care. She got reasonably good service, and the equipment like the sonar machine is state of the art. Not all departments in all government hospitals are scary. What does seem to be difficult is to get a doctor to see you outside of a scheduled regular consultation.
