Hi everyone!!! Maternity Wear hmmm... The chain stores should do a designer maternity range!! I recently tried Cherry Melon and it didn't fit so nice. I found Bellyssimo afterwards and I'm very happy with the clothes!! Applause It's quite affordable...well if you compare to what you are paying in the shops anyway.

Hey, I know exactly how you feel! I do recommend that you go onto www.meoli.co.za . They have fab pants and tops that are excellent

Hi all. I tried Meolie but I feel Bellyssimo has a bigger variety. I only saw them afterwards as well though...

Let me put it this way, Bellyssimo's basics equate to Meolie's entire range so I must say I was quite disappointed. They need to offer more of a variety and not just casual wear!!

Basically you can get casual, corporate & evening wear whereas the other brands only seem to focus on one category. We won't go there with the chain stores as I will just waste my breath!!

Becky, I see you are from Empangeni isn't that by Richards Bay? I think Bellyssimo is based there cos my order was sent from Richards Bay. Did you buy from a shop there? We are coming up to Richards Bay next week and I would love to see their shop if they have one there...?Think Carmen

It's all good that some places have absolutely beautiful and stunning goodies - but, they're at boutiques and you pay boutiques prices. We all cannot afford those - well - now my baby has been born a month ago - I now have the dilemna where nothing else fits !!!! shooooo !!!

GOOD LUCK WITH YOU PREGNANCY !

I couldn't agree more... The maternity section on the shops here are disgraceful. The styles & patterns are something my granny would wear. I've "inherited" a few maternity pants from my sister in law, but don't really like them as they're over the bump & i way prefer under the bump. So now i just wear my normal shorts/jeans with a hair band keeping the loop to the button (the hairband allows for stretch). I wear long tops so you don't see the gap & it's really comfy... I'm 23 weeks already but hopefully i'll be able to continue doing so for a while still!

Hi Carmen, yeah Empangeni is near Richards Bay. I had a look on the website and called the number.

Apparently their factory is here so going to see if I can make a appointment to see them, otherwise I will just buy more clothes online as I was very happy with them!

I think they are pretty affordable if u compare to the other barnds out there. A friend of mine says she bought from them and wore the clothes long after her pregnancy, so that must be good as I haven't heard of people begin able to wear the frumpy chain store clothes afterwards (mr price, edgars etc.) and still being able to look good.

Check this out!

http://all4women.co.za/b...ion-tips-pregnancy.html

Gives some great fashion advice. Only thing is that they mention Gorgeous & Space but they don't sell maternity wear. The advise is really good though and gives good fashion tips.

Had a look at that site, vey interesting. Just went on the Bellyssimo website and I see they are offering a "value pack" which consists of a basic range but is sooo affordable. Wish I had waited a bit to buy :(

Hi Guys.

I am finding it very hard to find nice maternity wear as I still want to look Stylish Drool .
I see a few people have mentioned Bellyssimo and Cherry Melon.
Any advice???
I am only 12 weeks pregnant, so I am going to need outfits very soon.

Hi Lisa, I can suggest Bellyssimo - www.bellyssimo.co.za

I think they have the biggest range and some gorgeous styles. Not cheap but worth it :)

I have come to the end of my pregnancy... and tried to avoid spending too much money on maternity clothes, as you never able to wear it again....

Maternity clothes are so expensive and so old fashioned....
