Will go for a blood test tomorrow, but am so impatient!

It's so interesting to me, because when I was pregnant, home pregnancy tests didn't work so early, so there was no expectation of knowing within a week or two. I think it can add extra pressure being able to check so early. Holding thumbs for everyone here.

I did a zillion tests everytime I thought I was pregnant and let me tell you, the second I got a faint line - and it was seriously faint, so faint my husband thought I was cuckoo - I did another one, got the same result and went for a blood test and I was definately pregnant! I was only a few days overdue as well. Good luck

Hi All, well i just got my BFP... in total shock, i am about 5 days late, and when i did a test last thursday it was neg, but last night my sister called me to say she had just taken a test and it was positive, so i thought, hell why not take another one, and it was positive, it wasnt very dark, but it was there, i showed hubby and he agreed and i went out and bought two more tests, and both were positive :d/

I went for my blood test early this morning, cant wait to make 100% sure :d/

Hi everyone

I'm very confused! I have had three faint positives over three days on PregSure pregnancy tests, the last test was the darkest positive line. The lines are very very definitely there and appeared well within the 5 - 10 min time (no squinting or holding up to the light etc). I even posted pics on www.canyouseealine.com and they were voted yes - definitive line.
So this morning I bought a Clicks test - BFN. I'm testing early (yeah, I know, but I can't wait). Soo, what I want to know is:
1. has anyone had FALSE POSITIVES with PregSure tests?
2. Are PregSure more sensitive than Clicks tests?
3. Are there any tests out there that I can rely on apart from having to go to pathologist for blood tests?

This not knowing is killing me!!!! I'm so desperate to be pregnant :(

Thanks
S

I did a pregsure test yesterday morning and also got a faint line. It was definitely there, but last night my sister brought a Link Pharmacy test and i did not wait untill morning to do the test. Did the test last night and it was negative. What do you guys thing. One positive and one negative. 2 Different tests.

Please advise.

Hi sisi, I'm not sure if this will reach you, but I was wonderinf if you could let me know what happened in your case.
I was meant to get my period on the 3rd of December, but still haven't received it. I've experience nausea and slight vomiting, cramps, frequent urination etc. I've had a child before, so I have a good idea of what "being pregnant" feels like. And I've never missed a period and haven't used contraceptive for almost 2 years. I tried a HPT and it came out negative, then I had a blood test done, which also came out negative. However, i'm still feeling VERY pregnant and have not gotten ill. Many of the doctors that I work with say its too early for me perhaps to be testing, I should give it more time, but its excruciating! Please let me know if there is anyone out there who can help me.
thanks
candice

Hi All,

I have been unfortunate to have had 3 false positives with the preg sure brand, I have called them & the pharmacy I use have taken his stock off the self, my latest was this morning.. (bearing in mind I have had seven m/c) so just another shock to the system....

Hi Ladies, have been TTC for 3 months, AF was a bit irregular, 30 days, 26 days and now about a week late. Did a HPT yesterday and got two lines with a medi rite midstream test yesterday, then this morning did a clicks test but the 2nd line was faint, tried a Trevilon HPT also got a 2nd faint line and another clicks test but got a neg. So nervous. Really hope I'm preggies. Do I just go to my GP for a blood test to check or should I go to my gyne. So confusing, so scared to get excited and then I'm not. Haven't told DH yet may meet him for lunch during the day.

Sounds promising. You can actually go straight to the pathologist for the blood test, just get your GP to authorise it.

I was also late. Did a test and I got a really faint line. Went to the dr and did a blood test. Came back positive. Unfortunately about 4 days later I started bleeding. They checked and I had a ectopic pregancy. Had a D&C and a Laparoscopy to remove the fetus. That was 2 weeks ago. Now the fun starts again. Drool

I live in a small town, is a GP able to do blood tests or how many weeks should I be before I go to a gyne? Sorry bit confused? Also how many weeks must I be before I tell my medical aid?
