Is there a law in South Africa stating that the unmarried fathers has to contribute to the pregnancy, ie. doctors bills and various other bills even though he is entirely excluded from all activities relating to the pregnancy.
PLEASE ADVISE!!!

Boet , if both the unmarried father & unmarried mother did not contribute there would be a problem right ? . So , fairly , both should see to it all directly related costs need to be sorted out . Yes - you should pay up

Jenos, Guest is correct in principle - if you are the unmarried father-to-be, then you have certain responsibilities which you must fulfil. However, by the same token, you have certain rights too - and if you are at all interested in your child, then you must exercise those rights or lose them.
