Hi all,

We've been off the pill for 2years now and no BFP (NO IDEA what that stands for other than no ot preggy yet!)

I've been diagnosed with a low sperm count and have been put on a course of 8 Menopur injections over 4 weeks to boost my count. Urologist says that the count is so low that it's unlikely we'll ever fall pregnant naturally and that we need a little help (IVF).

I didn't see too much numbers, but saw sperm count as 0,3M/ml - does this mean my count is 300 000? I know 20million is the normal benchmark... and if this is the count, is there any hope?

Doc is fairly limited in his approach and we're now figuring things out ourselves. Although he did put me on the Menopur and Staminogro tablets.

Anyone been down this route?

I don't know about the numbers, but I can tell you a BFP is a Big Fat Positive. Here's our TTC (Trying to Conceive) Dictionary. Very useful for newbies.

HI GMan

We've been down this road as well. Tried for 3 years - nothing. Had hubby's sperm tested and his counts were as follows: total count ± 7million, morphology less than 1%. It's supposed to be around 40 million per milliliter and morphology should be above 14%. Doctors also told us we'd never fall pregnant.

I went for 2 AI's but it didn't work. We couldn't afford an IVF and hubby was getting all worked up about it so we laid low for a couple of months. We'd both been taking handfuls of supplements for more than a year. Vit E, Eve Primrose, Zinc, Iron, a good multi vit, Selenium, Folic Acid, etc. Then we started the Ferti Boost supplements for 5 months. His morphology went up to 3% and total count around 17 million after the 4th month. We decided to try another AI the following month, but I fell pregnant 2 weeks later.

It CAN be done. Don't believe the doctors. God will help where medical science can't. But I can also recommend the Ferti Boost. It has worked for hundreds of couples where there was no hope.

So keep on trying and good luck!!
