My wife is pregnant with twins, conceived via ICSI. We currently live in the UK but are moving to Cape Town in November. She will be 25 weeks pregnant when we move and we have been instructed by our medical aid that the birth will only be covered at a Lifestyle Group Clinic. There is one in Claremont. Has anyone used this clinic and can anyone recommend a gynae/obstetrician who practices out of the hospital. There is a list on their website but choosing one without a recommendation seems a bit of a gamble. Would like to set up an appointment before we leave the UK.

Found out today that the choice is either the Life Kingsbury/Claremont Hospital or the Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital. Has anyone got any info on either and could you recommend a gynae/obstetrician who work there? Thanks.

Lucky your medical aid covers you - we were in a similar situation and our medical aid didn't cover anything. I believe Vincent Pallotti is good. Have you thought of using a mid-wife with a gynae as back up. There is a very nice midwife called Joann Lugt and I think she covers the Vincent Pallotti hospital - her details are here

Ralph, my gynae Sheana Jones works out of Vincent Pallotti and delivered both my sons. Maybe try her?
