I just found out that I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. Before we found out that we were expecting, we were promised a kitten from a litter my friend's cat had as soon as they were ready to leave their mum.

Is it a good idea to get a kitten when pregnant? I've heard some conflicting things.

I'm tired so I don't know if I'll have time and energy for a cat and then there is the whole toxoplasmosis in the poo thing and I've also heard that cats can get jealous of new babies.
