Hi,
I am 11 weeks pregnant and i do not have medical aid. I do not want to go to a public hospital and Private Hospital fees are exorbitant. Life and Netcare hospitals costs around R40 000 in case of a C section.
Are there any cheaper hospitals around that you can recommend?

hey there,
Yes there is St Mary's Woman's Hospital in Springs which is about R16000 for everything. And you can pay them off until you give birth. Lovely Private Hospital which cater for the needs of woman only.

Although you say you don't want to go to a public hospital, even the 'state hospitals', as far as I know, have the option of private rooms, so you do pay more, but your privacy and the levels of service are better.

@Sushiqueen2,
Thank you for your response.
I was trying to see if I could find hospitals around my vicinity since Springs is very far. However, I will keep that option open. Thank you

@ Scott D,
Thank you for your response.
There 4 hospitals in Gauteng which offer ''Folateng'' private wards. However the ones which are in Johannesburg which are Charlotte Maxele and Hellen Joseph do not have private maternity wards.
Unless, if there are some public ones besides those 2 in Johannesburg that offer private rooms that you know of ....please do kindly advise.
