I thought I'd share this with you, just in case:
When my kids were very young, babies, really, I took loads of photos. I was so proud, that I wanted to share them with my friends, and uploaded them to Flikr, an online photo-sharing site.
Within a few days, I grew worried: Flickr has a counter which shows you how many views the pics have had. The ones of my kids in the bath had almost a hundred times more hits than any other picture. I deleted them.
I learned quickly not to put up pictures, no matter how innocent, of my kids in the bath. Based on that horrible experience, I'd recommend that if you want to share your pics, do:
1. Have a password-protected place to share them
2. Don't put up pics of them in the bath or naked
3. Check to make sure that you're security settings are high
4. Don't put any pics online (the safest choice).
I know we'd all prefer to live in a world where sick people didn't target children, but they do.
Seeing as this is a public forum, how about sharing your suggestions for online photo sharing and protection.
