I've recently seen the same symptoms present in both my sons - 8 & 19 years of age - and our doctor treated both of them with something for the sore throat and headache, and something to reduce the fever (Panado in liquid or tablet form works excellently with them - it sorts the fever AND the pain), lots of liquids and lots of rest.

No antibiotics.

It took 2 or 3 days for all the symptoms to disappear, and they are both fine now. So you are almost out of the woods already...

Just keep a close eye out for worsening symptoms and coughing.
Good luck!
