Hi
Katlego is teething ,has 4teeth now and is always sick.if not the running stomach, she vomits after everything she eat or drinks.now she has a rush a;; over her face and has an on and off fever..not forgetting the coughing.
she will be 1yrs old next month and i can't wait for all this to end.
she wakes up in the middle of the night and cries, scratches her nose and puts her hand in her mouth.

she does'nt allow me to put my finger in her mouth to check and have taken her to the dr but with not much change.
is someone going through this or has...
what can i get her to make it all better...

Hi. I feel so sorry for you. It is really difficult for us mothers when our babies isn't well.

I can give advice on the rach on her face: Get Annique cream and soap (ToysRUs sells it). You can also wash her with rooibos (preferably Annique tea). It really works. I have tried it and many mothers I know of. You can give her some cool rooibos tea when she has a runny stomach and vomits. This will ease the nasea and will keep her hydrated.

For the teething I used teething biscuits from Purity. It tastes like Marie Biscuits but is harder. My son (now 2) loved it and bit all his teeth trough on them. It isn't expensive and helps alot. It is also in a great shape for little hands to hold. you also can give her some pain meds like Calpol or Panado for the pain at night. I don't believe in giving my kids meds, but teething is painful. You can ask your Pharmasist for something to numb the gums.

Is she at playschool or a creche? I am a stay at home mom, but I know of kids who are always ill because they get all the ugly bugs from ill children at school. Get her on vitamins (there is alot on the market for toddlers).

I hope all this clears up soon. It is terrible when our babies are ill or unhappy.

Good luck!

Hi Mamakea

You can also buy Dr. Hyland's teething tablets at a Dischem store, it is homeopathic and really works well. You just give your baby 2-3 tables every few hours and it seems like they don't feel the pain. I think it also has a calming effect on them.

Good luck.

Hi Mamakea

I buy from an Annique agent. I know that ToysRUs have most of the Annique Baby range, but never saw it at other stores. I am totally satisfied with the product. All their stuff works. You can also get the detergents to wash the baby's clothes in.

I hope your baby gets better soon.

Good luck!

Connor's daymother swears by Vidol teething powders. And when he's really niggly, and crying in pain, I give him 2,5ml of Stilpaine syrup. I use Iliadin nose spray because he gets a runny nose whenever there's a new tooth coming.

I love the way our forum parents share their top products and tips. 'Cause at least if another Mom or Dad is saying it, you know it must have been of some use.
