I happened upon an article about this in the Femina/Fair Lady this morning so decided to check it out. It's all about getting your baby to sleep, Hope it helps

Hi Suemitchell!

Could you please share some advice with us on how to do sleep training without harming our babies? Is there a website or something we can visit?

Boo hoo! To Sue Mitchell - Sleep training
I have read a lot about sleep training and know that you have to let your baby cry and learn to fall asleep by itself, however here is my situation. We have twins boy and girl - 11 months old - the girl is not sleeping well, wakes up every few hours and cries and yes we attend to her just not to wake up the boy - they both still share our room - any advise for me. She is healthy and not teething currently - just started crawling and standing up against furniture, so everytime she wakes up she sits up in her cot - very busy little girl - any advise would be welcome we are exhausted.

Phew, I can remember all those sleepless nights when I walked the passage with my older son. We would both have slept better if I had been able to get a bit of perspective and allow him to self-soothe. Oh well, he sleeps like a tree now (he's 15!).
