How long after the maintenance court has decided on maintenance, can you go back again to have the amount re-looked at?

Ie: If the maintenance courts 'awards' maintenance, and the mother cannot take care of the children adequately on the amount given.

Perhaps it's a good idea to remember that the sword can cut both ways - and if you're under the impression that the maintenance from the non-custodial parent is supposed to pay for ALL the needs of the children, you're in for a very nasty surprise.

In fact, you may just be handed a REDUCTION in maintenance - and told to adjust your expectations realistically. Do your homework on this one thoroughly...

I remember when they came up with a figure during the maintenace hearing you had the chance to dispute it. But since i assume you accepted this maitenance amount i would think you wouldn't have a chance to ask for more anytime soon. I would think after a year from the date you reached this agreement you can then look at a change in maintenance as there is obviously an increases in salary etc.
